The Hurricane
The Malmö Congress will be held at Malmö University. The University building, recommended hotels and location of all other activities are in the City Center of Malmö, all within walking distances.
The congress building, the Hurricane (Orkanen), is Malmö University’s new building that houses Teacher Education and the main University library. In addition to the Oresund bridge and the Turning Torso, the Hurricane is one of Malmö’s newest landmarks located along the wharf and the waters of the Hjälmarekajen, only a stone’s throw from the city center.
The shape and size of the building is spectacular. Five floors in separate sections and a number of inner courtyards, austere structure and slightly angled glass facade that mirrors the surrounding water and heavens.
