Early Childhood Education Network activities during ICSEI 2010
ECE seem to achieve increased focus in many countries of the world. At least that’s what the participants in ECE-network during this year ICSEI network have experienced in their home countries. Also we seem to have a lot of common dilemmas in our work to improve ECE whether it’s in our home country or globally.
Apart from exchanging knowledge related to our different interests and perspectives the network decided that as soon as the ECE network becomes part of the ICSEI webpage we will initiate – or continue - discussions on:
- Suggestions for key note speakers at the ICSEI conference 2011
- Collaborations on proposals/papers for ICSEI 2011 symposiums
- Conference Announcements on other relevant ECE conferences
- References to reviewed links, research and reports on ECE
- Title of the network, ECE, Early Childhood Education and Care or Early Learning?

- Evaluation- and assessment practices
- Sustainable improvement, paradoxes and dilemmas

Six new members from Australia, The Netherlands, UK, Denmark and Malaysia (two members) joined the network, which now presents a conglomerate of practicians, researchers and policy makers from nine different countries. (Canada, Norway, Sweden and Pakistan are also represented in the network.)
